With the return of the EIDL Grant and EIDL Loan programs, a new surge of scammers has returned to prey on business owners! So, in this video, I’m going to give you some signs to watch out for so that you don’t fall into the hands of the scammers. Very often, you’ll see social media profiles or even youtube channels with a picture of the SBA logo. Pretending to be the SBA soliciting for help. If the person on the phone is asking for your full social security number, EIN, address, or any other information that they can identify you with, hang up the phone. EIDL Grant | SBA Investigating Frauds!!!!

EIDL Grant and EIDL Loan Applications are now being investigated for Fraud! It appears that SBA may have started investing the EIDL Grant, which is the free grant of $1k to $10k depending on your employee count, and the EIDL Loan application process for fraudulent applicants. These are the EIDL Grant and EIDL Loan application that was submitted by individuals who have no legitimate businesses and are lying on the application saying that they do have a business. An article was recently published by Washington Post about suspicious applications for the EIDL Grant and the EIDL loan and that the SBA is now beginning to take notice of this. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/07/15/sba-eidl-loan-program-coronavirus/ Interestingly enough, a large number of people living in Apartment locations have applied for the SBA EIDL Grant saying that they’re an agricultural business. 2 months ago, the SBA EIDL program was indeed closed and allowed applications only from agricultural businesses. So much so that the SBA managers have begun notifying the frontline workers to screen out for suspicious applications. Such suspicious applications apparently have just the right number of employees to qualify for the $10,000 grant, applicants calling SBA specifically about the grant while ignoring the loan terms. And while this may sound funny and dumb but some applicants even put down their apartment address as the business address claiming that they run a 10-employee barbershop and an auto-repair shop. And at the same time, I know my videos have helped potentially thousands of businesses who struggled to understand the SBA EIDL Grant and the Loan program. But it is a bit disappointing and frustrating that the information has also fed the wrong mouth. Because of all the fraudsters out there, there are fewer legitimate businesses that didn’t get the chance to save their business. Now, The SBA hasn’t commented on how they’re investing – which is a smart move. Especially since if SBA does disclose their investigative methods, the same fraudsters would try to skirt around the investigations. I do have some ideas as to how the SBA will investigate fraudulent applications but I won’t even begin to name ideas … well because of fraudsters. But here’s what I think the SBA should have done from the beginning to avoid this mess and I hope to see this implemented in the near future. As soon as the CARES Act was passed, I think the SBA should have gotten to work to build an up-front algorithm or a screening tool to match all the business Tax ID to the IRS database to see if there were any taxes or business-related filings were made. SBA could have easily screened out those applications that didn’t file a Schedule C, Form 8825, or Schedule E on the personal taxes, and Form 1020, the 1020S, or the partnership tax form of 1065. When you applied for the SBA EIDL Loan or the SBA EIDL Grant, you checked off a box saying that you agree to certain terms and conditions… One of those terms and condition reads: Not only is it illegal and immoral to lie but by you falsely applying for the SBA EIDL Loan, you might be taking away something that a legitimate business desperately needs to survive right now.

EIDL Grant is now CLOSED & Second Stimulus Check UPDATE!

EIDL Grant is now CLOSED & Second Stimulus Check UPDATE! The FREE $10,000 SBA EIDL Grant has been CLOSED! What does that mean? Can you still get the SBA EIDL Loan? Can I still apply for the Paycheck Protection Program? Well, I breakdown everything here and unpackage what you need to know in regards to the EIDL Grant, the Paycheck Protection Program, and I also give an update on the Second Stimulus Check and what you can expect! RIP to the free $10K EIDL Grant 😭 But you can still apply for the EIDL loan, which still needs to be paid back and can not be forgiven. Just as a quick refresher as to what you can actually use the EIDL Loan for general operating expenses; utility costs, lease for your office space, mortgage payments, payroll, inventory obligations. But you CAN NOT use the EIDL Loan for expanding business, buying a franchise, buying any fixed assets, or can’t use the money to actually pay off your mortgage. EIDL Grant Questions Answered + Hidden Process https://youtu.be/keySGMPvRjU If you applied for the EIDL Grant before July 12, 2020, I think you will be safe and still in consideration for the free $10,000 EIDL Grant. However, if you are just submitting for that now, you may have missed the chance for the free $1k-$10k EIDL Grant but you will still be considered for the EIDL Loan! Moving on to the Paycheck Protection Program, it is STILL OPEN but with just how the EIDL Grant just closed, you can expect the same thing to happen to the Paycheck Protection Program, so if you plan on applying for the PPP, DO IT NOW! And don’t forget the PPP is open to people who are self-employed and rumor has it, the entire funding can be forgiven completely, just make sure to verify with your lender beforehand! NOW! The Second Stimulus check update! So the HEROS act has been shot down in the Senate and by President Trump. BUT the Senate is working on a second stimulus check program that COULD be given out. And within the second stimulus check guidelines, if you make less than $40,000 a year, you could qualify for a second stimulus check. And even on the White House side, President Trump is in favor of a second stimulus check. Now for the unemployment checks, for one, they are set to expire at the end of July. But there may be another extension signed into law by Congress and the Senate here shortly with a smaller amount. But others have speculated that it could be mandated by the State of residence.

SBA EIDL and the PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) are two separate programs. The PPP is forgivable while the EIDL is not. Only the grant portion is considered “forgivable” 2. EIDL Loan is ONLY for existing businesses. Not new businesses. You must have been in business for the last 12 months as well as you’re generating income from the business. 3. The EIDL Grant is given to you as a grant. You do not have to pay it back. The grant is based on how many employees… up to $10,000. 5. If you’re applying for more than $25,000 for the EIDL loan, you will need to pledge your entire business as collateral. 6. EIDL Loan application process does involve a credit check! 7. The EIDL is for Economic Injury Relief… It’s NOT meant for you to expand your business, buy a new property, or to buy a new car. PLEASE GUYS… don’t take advantage of the EIDL unless you’re actually hurting. There are businesses that actually need it.
